Creating new outlook profile and it is not working - stuck at "Searching for [email] settings"

I have office 365 installed in windows 8.1 and outlook was working fine till yesterday. But suddenly I had the issue with loading profiles stage(it was stuck at that stage). I followed one instruction to update the registry to disablehardwareacceleration, but it did not help.

So I deleted my existing profile and trying to create a new one, but after I enter the details, it is stuck at

"Searching for [email] settings".

What changed suddenly? I have not installed any updates yesterday apart from bitdefender definition update.

Am I missing something else?

Try to login to O365 Online and see if your email is still valid.

Thanks for the reply. After restarting my laptop, I was able to get this working. The credentials window popped up this time, but it did not last time.
